MP-SPECT by Eagle Heart Imaging, LLC

Stationary Multiple Pinhole Cardiac Imaging

Introducing MP-SPECT

For dual-head cameras, MP-SPECT is superior technology

that will save money and reduce radiation exposure

When cardiac SPECT imaging is performed without any moving parts, count sensitivity is significantly increased because all views are active at all times.

IMMEDIATE BENEFITS:

  • Increased statistical content in raw data image sets

  • Saves money by increasing patient throughput
  • Saves money by less technician time per patient
  • High-quality perfusion images

  • High-resolution gated images

  • Remarkable flexibility for implementing advanced clinical protocols

  • Greatly improved patient comfort (patients are imaged with arms at their side)

  • Reduced incidence of motion induced image artifacts

  • Increased patient throughput with improved diagnostic accuracy

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • The existing collimator changer mounts a pair of multi-pinhole collimators
  • Data is acquired in list-mode format which retains energy information for each event
  • Processing, display and archiving are performed using a dedicated work station
  • High-count data allows simultaneous imaging of Tl-201 (stress) and Tc-99m (rest)
  • Gated studies can be performed at up to 32 frames/beat
  • Results are presented in standard format for interpretation - DICOM Compliant

OTHER ADVANTAGES:

  • Images can be acquire immediately following stress or even during dobutamine stress
  • List-mode data is converted into frame mode following acquisition
  • Data analysis can be broken up into time segments to study changes during onset or recovery from stress
  • Post-acquisition formatting permits off-line scatter and cross-talk correction
  • Availability of upper peak Tl-201 images permits attenuation compensation
  • Segmental post stress processing permits study of volume and wall motion changes
  • Reduced incidence of false positive studies due to motion induced artifacts
  • Saves money by reducing wear and tear, less camera down time
